About DILI

DILI is an acute form of liver injury caused by drug intake. Most DILI cases are unpredictable and idiosyncratic (iDILI).
DILI is a differential diagnosis that requires the exclusion of other causes of acute liver injury and cannot be reliably confirmed by any standard liver laboratory test.

DILI leads to uncertainty, market-restrictions, post-marketing withdrawals, delays in drug development programs, and has severe and costly repercussions on drug developers, primary care physicians, and patients.
